Sport or sports are all forms of usually competitive physical activity or games which, through casual or organised participation, aim to use, maintain or improve physical ability and skills while providing enjoyment to participants, and in some cases, entertainment for spectators. Usually the contest or game is between two sides, each attempting to exceed the other. Some sports allow a tie game; others provide tie-breaking methods, to ensure one winner and one loser.
Skills Acquisition Programme (SAP) has come to be seen as a way out for curbing the problem of youth unemployment in Nigeria. A country that cannot provide job fur her citizens will definitely find it difficult to grow and with no sustainable development. Majority of the people highly affected by the global issue of unemployment are the youths. This course is, therefore, an attempt to portray the relevance of SAP to sustainable national development. It’s included in the school curriculum and it is relevance to sustainable national development.
Finally, it recommends that the scope of SAP in our school should be such that every individual will acquire skills that will suit his/her environment of choice.
